Bukidnon & Epic Zipline! 🌟

17 July 2024: Exhausting Yet Thrilling Journey!

Since the end of Ep. 1, I haven’t slept yet. We finished packing and waited for Kuya, the VIP driver.

We hopped into the van service provided by Samal - Davao Transportation Services. The drive began in the dark, picking up Julie first, then stopping at 7-Eleven for drinks and snacks.

We continued on a long, misty road up the mountains, stopping at Buda, which the driver called "Devil City," for a quick break.

After hours of driving, the sun came up, and we stopped at Atugan Bridge. It was a tall bridge.

We also visited what I thought was Lovers Lane, where we tried dragon fruit for the first time.

I tipped the shop woman 200 or 300 PHP, only to later find out the place wasn’t Lovers Lane but something else, an annoying mix-up as it's stuck in the video.

We then drove to Jollibee where I had a burger.

Eating while driving wasn’t ideal due to the increasingly bumpy road.

Finally, we arrived at Balai Dahilayan, where we rented a hut for the day. I took a break and set up my GoPros, one on my right hand and another on my chest.

After an hour, we headed to Dahilayan Adventure Park.

I had dressed too warmly for the weather, wearing a winter shirt, Norway hiking pants, raincoat, gloves, and a beanie, which made me sweat heavily.

Despite the heat, my focus was on managing my agoraphobia during the van ride up the mountain with many people.

When we reached the hill, we prepared for the zipline. Having been awake for over 24 hours, I was extremely hyper and disoriented.

I attempted the extreme zipline without trying the beginner one first, which led to some panic due to the manual stopping system. Despite the panic, I made it down, though with quite a few choice words!

Next, we rode the Razorback Mountain Coaster.

Unfortunately, the experience was less enjoyable because the woman in front of me used the brakes almost constantly, making the ride very slow, contrary to its advertised speed.

We then walked across a hanging bridge without any safety harnesses. Being tall, I found the fence to be too low, and while jumping around in my hyper state, I nearly fell over. Thankfully, we made it across safely.

Afterwards, we raced go-karts down the hill twice, which was a fun highlight. Despite the extreme rain and cold, all the clothes I wore helped keep me warm.

After go-karting, we had burgers at Retrobite Diner, which were delicious.

Exhausted, I fell asleep immediately after returning to the hut. I took my melatonin tablet to help with insomnia, as I tend to struggle with sleep issues.
